From the 1st April 2021 the extended access service is changing. BEVAN and Symphonie PCN are working together to deliver an evening and weekend service for our collective patients.
The service will provide over 100 hours of additional clinical capacity delivered outside of core hours specifically for routine pre-bookable appointments targeted at patients who find it difficult to get in to practice during our core hours. The service will continue to offer the same range of appointments as the current ACCESS+ service. These hours will be made up of a mix of staff; including GPs, Clinical Practitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, Physician Associates, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants. All appointments must be made by the practice.

Currently the service will continue to offer a mix of telephone/video and Face to Face appointments. All GP and Clinical Practitioner appointments will be by telephone for the first contact, however should the clinician feel a face to face appointment is warranted the patient will be offered either to book a Face to Face appointment within the ACCESS+ service or contact their own GP Practice to arrange. Access Plus will continue to operate out of Bransholme Health Centre.
