Our Nurse Practitioner offers specialised services in Diabetes, Asthma, Coronary Heart Disease and Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease. She also provides a triage and minor illness service.

Practice nurses

Our practice nurses provide the following:

  • Blood Pressure Reviews
  • Health checks and advice
  • Dressings/stitch removal
  • Ear syringing
  • Family planning and sexual health advice
  • Smear tests
  • Travel injections and advice
  • Child Immunisations
  • Blood taking for tests

Healthcare Assistants

Our Healthcare assistant supports the practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Phlebotomists

Our phlebotomist will take a blood sample when requested by the doctor, which is sent off to the labs for testing.
